Happy Wednesday!!🐫I hope you all are enjoying the week so far and serving looks to your hearts desire. Today I wanted to make a post dedicated to my lovely girlfriend Monique. Not only do I love her but I love her sense of style as well. If I could only choose one word to describe her style then I would have to say classy. You’ll never ever ever ever catch her slipping
This dress here is one of my absolute favorites. It combines my favorite color(blue) with one of my favorite patterns(floral). It’s such a versatile dress to me. She could wear it to any event and still look nice whether it be a summer stroll through a town or an awards ceremony. I also feel as though it compliments her skin tone very nicely. She asked me my opinion on the dress before she bought it and she actually listened to my opinion and got this one!!😂
ATTENTION ALL LADIES🗣INVEST IN A BLACK DRESS! Honestly girls you can never go wrong with a black dress because you never know when you’ll need one. They can come in handy at the very last minute. It’s as essential to a woman’s wardrobe as a black suit is to a man’s. I think it’s just a great piece to have in your closet as well. Black can go well with anything and you can wear it any time of the year. You could also style it however you want.
Red is a great color on black skin and Monique just really makes it pop❤️I love the off the shoulder because it makes the dress more fun ya know? Dresses don’t always have to be worn for church or for concerts or anything like that. They can be worn whenever just because. One of the things that I love about Monique’s style is that she always wants to remind that she is and always will be that one💁🏽On this date we just went to go and grab ice cream with a friend and she dressed up as though we were going to some nice restaurant. She always wants to look her best no matter what.
Once again the white top and jeans prevail. This picture is from my open house and of course we had to match. We wanted to have a cool summer breeze kinda look. The white off the shoulder and light wash shorts make an excellent combination for a summer Sunday afternoon. The tip I learned from Monique is for both men and women but try and have different washes of jeans. They really help add to different outfits. Certain colors don’t look right against dark wash jeans vs light wash.
Monique has some really nice statement tops that can stand alone by themselves and I’m actually noticing a trend amongst the off the shoulder look😂I don’t know what it is about this outfit but it’s one of my favorite casual looks of hers. This top is very versatile but it looks sooooo good with the jeans. They go very well together.
This here is one of her senior pictures(yes she is younger than me😂) I absolutely love this dress. It just screams “Monique wear me!!!” Her mother and sister picked it out and when I saw it, I was amazed. It’s so elegant. The intricate pattern on top finished out by the solid color base just makes it a great piece. I really love the shoes as well. I’ve noticed that whole string wrap around trend has become popular with girls. At first I wasn’t a fan but after a while it grew on me.
Once again the red prevails. You can never go wrong with roses. This is another favorite dress of mine for the spring and sunmertime. This one is a little bit more dressy than the light blue floral. I would save this one for more formal events. It’s such a great look. I love the way that the roses are placed on the dress🌹And yes, she did do her own makeup💁🏽
Monique has been such a positive and motivating force within my life. She’s my number one fan and I’m hers. You’ll never catch the two of us apart. We’re 2 peas in a pod and that’s the way that it should be. I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Please share and subscribe! Serve a look today😎
